A Dreamland.......

Nuwara-Eliya the 'heart' of the tea country 
located at an elevation of 1980 meters in the central highlands of a
 tropical island, it offers the best both worlds advantages, of tropical 
abundance and pleasant cool mountain climate. While the time climate is sub-tropical, 
night temperature plunge 
low enough to produce frost.......
            One of the attraction of Horton plains is world's end. There are infact two of them. 
“The small world’s end” and 
“The big world’s end” they are about 0.8km (1/2mile) apart from each other. From these, one could see the fall to the Tea states down bellow. 
A merry 1000ft(328m) from the small one and a dramatic 4000ft (1312m) from the big one. From here one could get a fantastic view of the surrounding hills and the mountain ranges wreathed in mists and clouds and on clear days even the Indian ocean which is about 50 miles (81km) to the south is visible. 

The vertebrate fauna of the region includes 
24 species of mammals, 
87 species of birds, 
9 species of reptiles and
8species of amphibians..

Buddha did not represent another powerful invisible figure to preach his knowledge and was his own master. To the layman he taught how to live a good, sincere, happy and a purposeful life and proposed some guidelines to follow to achieve these objectives. Those who do good deeds are rewarded with positive results and vice versa he said. He also said those who want to improve the mind should practice to eliminate selfishness, hatred, anger and ignorance. They attempt to satisfy consumer desire for aesthetically designed clothing; and, because of the time required to bring a garment onto the market, must at times anticipate changing consumer tastes.

Fashion designers attempt to design clothes which are functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. They must consider who is likely to wear a garment and the situations in which it will be worn. 

They have a wide range and combinations of materials to work with and a wide range of colors, patterns and styles to choose from. Though most clothing worn for everyday wear fall within a narrow range of conventional styles, unusual garments are usually sought for special occasions, such as evening wearon party dresses.

මේ සොදුරු මිනිසාගේ ජීවිතයට ඈදෙන්නෙ අපුර්ව ආකරයකිනයි මට සිතේ..කිසිදා විශ්වවිද්යාලයකින් මුවහත් නොවු ඔහුගෙ ගැමි බස්වහර මුවහත් වන්නෙ මෙම සින්හලතවය යැයි කීවහොත් මා නිවරදි යැයි සිතේ..

ඡායාරූපයේ..පසෙකින් මඩොල් දූවත්..කොග්ගල ඔයත්..කාලයෙන් වැලි තලාවෙන් යට නොවෙමින් තවමත් ඉතිරිවී ඇති "දැල් පන්නයත්" දිස්වේ..

Martin Wickramasinghe was a novelist from Sri Lanka. He was born in the village of Koggala in 1890. When he was five he learned the Sinhala alphabet and the Devaganari script, being able to recite large portions of the Hitopadesha (a Sanskrit fables). He attended a vernacular school until 1897, after which he was sent to a school in Galle, where he became proficient in English and Latin. The main focus of his work was the culture and life of Sri Lankans, exploring and applying modern knowledge in natural and social sciences, literature, linguistics, the arts, philosophy, education, and Buddhism and comparative religion to break through the surface of petty nationalism, and guide readers to the deep rooted common national identity that lies in the folk life and culture of Sri Lanka.Some of his better known titles include Gamperaliya (The Transformation of a Village), published in 1944 and which depicts the impact of modernization on traditional village life; Madol Doova, a children's novel published in 1947 that narrates the adventures of main character Upali Giniwella and his friends; Yuganthaya (The End of an Era), the second part of a trilogy started with Gamperaliya and followed by Kaliyugaya (Age of Darkness), published in 1957. All of these novels were made into movies directed by fellow Sri Lankan Lester James Peries. Other works are Leela (his opera prima, 1914), Soma (1920), Iranganie (1923), Seetha (1923), Miringu Diya (Mirage, 1925), Unmada Chithra (1929), Rohinmi (1929), Viragaya (Devoid of Passions, 1956), Karuvala Gedara (House of Shadows, 1963), and Bavatharanaya (Siddhartha's Quest, 1973).

පෙරහර සස්කෘතිය ලාන්කික ජන සමාජයට කවදා කෙදිනක,කොතෙනක එකතු වුනිදයි කීමට නොහෙ..එය දලදාව වඩමවූ කල සිටම පවතී එන්නට ඉඩ ඈත..
ලාන්කික ජන සමජයෙ හරස්කඩක් එ තුලින් නිරූපනයවෙතය් පවසුවොත් එය නිවෑරදිය..
ආදි කාලින ජන සමාජ තුල පවති විවිද යාග හොම,මන්ත්‍ර විදි,අදුම් පලදුම් මතු නොව විශ්වාසද ද මෙම පෙරහර සන්ස්කෘතියට එක් කර ඈත.....

Gangaaraama Vihara..

"Gangaarama Vihara" which is situated at the center, Colombo,which is a famous temple all over the world.  

Today Gangaramaya serves not only as a place of Buddhist worship; it is also a centre of learning.Apart from that it has a spectacular view for Photography.

Portraiture...

Portrait photography  is the capture by means of photography of the likeness of a person or a small group of people (a group portrait), in which the face and expression is predominant. The objective is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the subject. Like other types of portraiture, the focus of the photograph is the person's face, although the entire body and the background may be included. A portrait is generally not a snapshot, but a composed image of a person in a still position. A portrait often shows a person looking directly at the camera.

Unlike many other photography styles, the subjects of portrait photography are often non-professional models.I just captured this person at Colombo Fort Railway station while i was awaiting a train.
